Introduction

The GDPR is a law that regulates how companies can collect and use EU citizens' personal data, and it applies to companies based outside of the EU as well. The law's goal is to protect individuals' privacy rights and ensure that organizations responsibly collect and safely maintain personal data. The GDPR also establishes standards for how organizations should respond to data breaches and gives individuals more control over their personal data. Companies that don't comply with the GDPR may face significant fines and penalties.
